Hey guys,
Just woke up from the Children's camp.
Super comatose for the past 20 hours or so..
Camp Yapucha! was fun!
Ok.. funky name... i know.
But it did make sense after Prabs explained it to us.
..an explanation that i shall not release on my blog because i am most certainly convinced that it will disrupt my already questionable low readership.
Anyways,
The Camp was fun.. it was to be my 6th of 7th camp.. i think.
Needless to say some things were like clockwork but then again there were some hiccups.
Mainly my group.
I had trouble relating to a 5 year old and a 14 year old at the same time.
That was a first.
But it turned out pretty ok i guess..
We suprised Kanitha with a birthday cake on Friday night.
Shanty and the Pretty boys did most of the work but the rest of us were thrilled we could be part of it. kanitha IS the sweetest girl i know and she deserved it plenty!.
I'm getting her something too but i need my pay to come in first!
NSmen are dead broke the week before their pay!
Speaking of NS.
Its all going to be over soon.
I feel..great..elated...satisfied..
I guess i mostly feel a little sad.
My LIFE for the past 2 years is OVER.
I have to now move back into my room at home.
Sure i hated most parts of the Army.. but there's some parts that make you feel like its all worth it...
Anyways..
It should all be over in a week.
Then i have to forcefully restart the rest of my life!

The Master Chief complex
Hey guys,
Joey loaned me his Xbox360 for a extended period of time and i have been hard at work building some rep playing HALO 3. Now this is the first time I'm getting to play the campaign (previously i drilled the game on co-op mode when it first came out) and i have realized that in fact HALO players can be categorized in 3 major groups.
First a backstory (for those blasphemous no HALO players) : HALO is the story of a genetically engineered super soldier know as MASTER CHIEF who is enlisted as part of a SPARTAN program to combat a race of super evil alien thingys knows as The covenant. Basically an intergalactic war thats fought over 3 games. Obviously there's a much more complex level of storyline here but this is just the gist.
See as a First Person Shooter (FPS) game track the player as he fights the war through the Master Chief character. Now there are many distinct ways of playing HALO, to each is his own.. however it can all be traced down to 3 main methods of gameplay.
Firstly, The SOLDIER method. Players who use this method are the thinkers of the bunch. They move swiftly and are effective in neutralizing their targets with a various number of weapons. These guys are the one's who get through the easy, normal and hard levels of the game at a normal pace.
Secondly, theres the SILENT KILLER method. This method revolves around scoped weapons. Weapons that the player can call forth an optical screen when using, such as sniper rifles and (some) assault rifles. Silent killers are extremely dexterous and nimble and usually specialize in killing from a distance. A must have in your team if you ever go pro. These players are not to adept at close combat but make up for that by constantly being on the move. As such...
Last but not least. There's the method I (and i'm quite sure Joey) use. Its known as the " AHH! FUCK IT!!" method. Players who use this method don't have much mental capacity to fully analyze their surroundings. They do not think. They are unable to react to changes in their environment and result to brute force to solve all their problems. Players who use this method usually DIE multiple time at the beginning of their gaming experience. However as they grow more and more experienced they develop a deadly sense of efficiency when it comes to killing. This method is THE ONLY WAY one can finish the HALO games in the Legendary difficulty mode, the hardest level of difficulty. Also, players who use this method (and i say this purely based on demography) tend to be slightly overweight Star wars fan boys who are inexplicable single. Please observe
..and as such i end the presentation of my humble observations.
Its good to be back.

For my big sister.. .
This one's for all of you out there...
You are the beauty of Earth.
You are the soul of this ball of earth and water.
You are the reason we have faith and the reasoning behind love.
You make the flowers wilt and the mountains dip..
the waters flow and the clouds float.
You are my Mother, my sister, my friend and my love.
You are everything that is unconditional.
You are the symbol of strength and the mightier of the species.
The bearer of our future and the pillar of wisdom.
You care and you love and you give God a reason for looking down on us all.
It is in your eyes that i see my life and in your lips that i taste death.
It is in your hands that i feel my need to strive and in your heart i leave my soul.
You are the reason for my existence and the need for my life.
There can be crystal clear rain drops over the Amazons and powdery white snowflakes on mountain tops. There can be dunes of spice and sand all through the continents and fresh green sprays on the shores of the Maldives. The flocking of birds across the heavens and the herding of deers through the Savanna. There can be the first rays of the golden sun and the last cries of the sun set streams. The Auroras in the deep suave night and the stars in the abysmal galaxies. There can be the teachings of the ones before is and the legacy of Heaven itself..
Yet..
Yet.
Nothing, i have seen..
Nothing as beautiful as a woman.
Happy birthday to you my sister.
I don't know where you are... and i don't know how you've been.
..but you've been in my prayers and in my thoughts for the past 2 years.
I miss you, i love you and i thank you.
Thank you for showing me the love a sister can shine on me.
Thank you for teaching my how to love and respect a woman.
Thank you for never failing to make me feel like I'm 5 again.. .
Thank you for helping me become who i am today.
I know you're reading this..
I know you won't call or sms or email.
Just think of me.
It should bring a smile to you.
Just think of me.
Always your little boy "akka".. .

Red Oktober
Hey guys,
See, this is pretty fucked up.. Its the 10th of the month and i'm not paid yet.
this is not good.
I am pissed.
So very pisse.
All my plans for the day have to be on shift.
..and did i have plans or what.
Fucking ton of things to pay off and its Deepavali..
I don't know what the hell's wrong with MINDEF but there are a seriously large amound of trained millitary personell out there that are VERY angry.
I mean we work like dogs throughout the month with today in mind and then we realize that we're just as broke as yesterday.
Sad.
Apart from that my day is littered with meetings and more meetings.
I have not had sleep too.
This is awesome.
Nice way to start of the month.
Anyways.. .
Its october..
Which translates (quite literally) to OktoberFest!
Normally i'd be all smiles and grins..
but no pay equals no Beer.
So yeah.
I'm gonna go off to a corner and sulk for a bit.
..and by a bit i mean 19 minutes.. because i have a meeting after that.

Hook, Line and Sinker
Hey guys,
Paul the Rat died.
I am sad.
He was a good friend..
He was brave.
He was ..
He was the little bitch that kept pooping in our store rooms.
He shall be fondly remembered.
In other news:
After much research and dedicated scripting that i have put into the creation of CAPTAIN HOOK, the primary antagonist in the up coming Peter Pan musical, i Padmaanaathan Kalai Maran, have come to one ultimate conclusion.
I
WANT
TO
PLAY
HOOK.
I want to play the character of Captain Hook.
I really, really, really want to.
(and i want IM or Prateepan to play smee, but thats another story)
When i set about to create the Captain hook character initially in Act 1, it was just an overview, ands establishment of the character. In ACT 3 however, is when he really shines. His ego, pride and evil genius is developed.
Think Dr.Evil from Austin Powers meet Jack Sparrow.
Yeah.
That sorta sums hook up for now.
Smee and Hook are literally like Pinky and the Brain.
As such, I WANT TO PLAY HIM.
Ok..
Needed to get that out of my system.
Apart from that life's moving up a slope.
Personal life's back on track. More or less.
Getting ready for the Australia trip
Every single time bring up my blog on screen an i check my ORD counter and realize that i have one less day to live down, i get this warm fuzzy feeling like in the pits of my heart.
Like bourbon on a cold day.
Like chili crab and beer.
Like Jamaican rum in a 4 layer chocolate fudge hazelnut birthday cake sprinkled with cinnamon dust and topped of with whipped cream and a big juicy cherry from you dearest friend Prabha Kakanajothi (I'm not using names here or anything..just an example) because she is simply so awesome and so cool and simply amazing and she'd do anything for her pal Naathan because he's absolutely awesome but has next to no plans for his 21st next year.. .
Oh and speaking of Birthdays.. .
Happy Belated Birthday to Mercy!
..and Happy birthday to Indra! and "Periyakka" and Rajes!
Oh and by the way.
I'm thinking of the theme for the AFT meeting this Saturday..
STARWARS Villains, Campbell Soup tins or last 20 minutes of life on earth?
Hmm...

Blessings
Hey guys,
I'm going back into the gaming world slowly and steadily.
Just got an invite to EA: RwnD, and annual games expo that comes around bi annually.
Like its more commercial counterpart, EA: PLAY! this expo basically jam packs demos for games between now and Judgment day, so yeah. I'm looking foward to DiabloIII, StarCraft 2 from Blizzard(yeah i know Yoga..awesomeness) and obviously a million other EA titles. Gonna try the new Ghost Recon and Guitar Hero 5: Nexux. Awesome?
(yeah i know, my life's boring)
Happy Birthday to Ravin.
He (finally) turned 20 yesterday.
Love you man.. seriously.
Glad you had a helluva day.
Been spending a ton of time with the family, mainly my Dad and Sis.
Have been actively engaged (on the phone even) about the failings of the Malaysian Indian Congress party in Malaysia with my dad. Its not exactly garden-variety father - Son talk, but hey its a strong common ground. Please, this man talked to me about capitalism (even the watered down version we see globally these days) when i was 10... i had to entertain him.. it was the only way i could play Pokemon on my Game-boy later on.
Sister's been eyeing my PS2 i think. She sat down and played Need for Speed Carbon with me till like 3am on friday. Even made herself a gay-as-fuck car with a heartshape slosed across the sides. Mazda would hang himself if he saw this shit. It was fun, i must say. Its best case scenario for any brother.. having a sister AND someone to play PS2 with! Yeah.
I have yet to count my blessings.
Oh and speaking of blessings..
I think mom's gonna roast chicken today.. .
:)
